Island RPG

You start on a small island floating above the clouds. Build it up, train eleven skills to level 100 and fly out to twenty islands full of ore, fish, monsters and dragons.

The game

One island. Then the whole sky.

LichBlock starts the way a Skyblock game should: you, a portal and a patch of grass above a sea of clouds. Mine it, farm it, build on it. Then step through the portal to Skyport, the city in the sky, and the game opens up into a full RPG with quests, gear, dungeons, a market of 66 stalls and a world with its own weather.

  • Build your island

    94 kinds of block, 104 pieces of furniture, crops, trees and animals from hens to a Hoard Wyrm. Minions keep mining and farming while you're away.

  • Train everything

    Eleven skills from 1 to 100, three fighting styles with talent trees, and 501 pieces of gear in seven rarities.

  • Explore the sky

    Twenty islands by portal and airship, dungeons that change every day, bosses, weather events and a world clock that runs with yours.

The world

The Sky Chart

Twenty islands, linked by portals and airships, with dungeons under several of them. This is the same chart you open in the game. Pick an island to see what's there.

Skyport

Skills

Eleven skills. A hundred levels each.

Everything you do trains something. Levels open new islands, tools and abilities, so there's always a next goal in sight.

Fighting

  • MeleeSwords, battleaxes, maces, spears and daggers.
  • ArcheryShortbows, longbows and crossbows. Every shot costs an arrow.
  • MagicStaffs and wands. Spells cost mana, which refills on its own.

Gathering

  • MiningFrom coal in the Quarry to dragonstone on Wyrmcrest.
  • FarmingWheat and pumpkins first, dragonfruit much later.
  • FishingPiers, a lagoon, a frozen lake and the Maelstrom.
  • ForagingOaks at home, giant trees on far islands.

Making

  • SmithingSmelt ore into bars, forge blades, plate and tools.
  • CraftingCloth, leather, bows, staffs, jewellery and arrows.
  • AlchemyPotions brewed from the flowers and crops you grow.
  • CookingHearty meals leave you Well Fed for a skill or a fight.

Fighting has three talent trees (Warrior, Ranger and Arcanist) with 45 talents and 16 abilities. Every gathering skill adds an ability at level 20 and another at 50.

Each new island asks for a higher level, from the fields next door to the dragons at the top of the sky.

Mine, farm, fish, chop

Ore grows back, fields regrow and fish bite differently in rain, fog and storms. Lucky swings turn up geodes, golden crops and rare finds.

Fight your way

Melee, archery or magic, with 16 abilities to put on two buttons. Fourteen bosses wait, from the Bone Warden to the Elder Wyrm.

Pets and mounts

43 pets that fight or heal at your side and 21 mounts. Eight of them fly: hold jump to climb, let go to glide.

Where LichBlock is now

  1. Now

    Test builds

    The whole game runs in test builds that get new content often. The latest, 3.9, added the Roost: two dragons you can keep on your own island.

  2. Next

    The endgame and more polish

    Levels 90 to 100, new block textures and more of the older monsters rebuilt like the new ones.

  3. After that

    Online play

    Friends, guilds with their own island, chat and visits to each other's islands are already built. They go live on LichBlock's own servers, followed by shared worlds, real PvP and an auction hall.

Good to know

When does LichBlock come out?

There's no date yet. The game is in test builds now and goes to the App Store after that. Sign up for launch news and you'll hear it first.

What can I play it on?

LichBlock is made for phones and plays with two thumbs. It's coming to the App Store first. News about other platforms will be posted here.

Is it like Skyblock in Minecraft?

It starts that way: you, alone on a small island in the sky. From there it grows into a full RPG with skills to level 100, quests, gear, dungeons, bosses and twenty islands to explore. It has a look of its own too: slate, bone, carved runes and teal ghost-fire.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. A friends list, chat, visiting each other's islands and guilds with a shared guild island are all built. They switch on when online play goes live.

Does my island keep going while I'm away?

It does. Minions keep mining and farming, your animals keep producing and a rented market stall keeps selling while you're offline.

Are there loot boxes?

No. Everything in LichBlock's shops is a fixed item at a fixed price, never a random box.
